Chainguard seeks a Customer Success Manager to lead enterprise customer engagements across the eastern United States market, working fully remote. This is a hands-on role requiring strategic thinking, autonomy, and a commitment to transforming customer relationships into long-term partnerships. Core Duties Partner with customers and internal teams to develop success plans that align technical deployments with business objectives and track progress toward customer-defined metrics. Advocate internally for customer needs and requirements, influencing product and engineering teams to prioritize customer-driven enhancements and resolutions. Coordinate with Technical Support to triage, escalate, and resolve customer issues efficiently, ensuring continuity and satisfaction throughout the lifecycle. Build deep technical proficiency in Chainguard's platform, supply chain security practices, and industry best practices to guide customers toward optimal configurations and use cases. Deliver training sessions and educational resources to customer teams, covering feature adoption, security compliance, and operational best practices. Cultivate relationships across multiple organizational levels—from technical staff to security executives—to identify expansion opportunities and mitigate renewal risks. Skills & Qualifications Minimum two years in customer-facing technical roles, such as Customer Success, Professional Services, Technical Account Management, or equivalent experience in Solutions Engineering or Technical Support. Working knowledge of supply chain security, DevSecOps, application security, containers, regulatory compliance, vulnerability management, or software development lifecycle practices. Demonstrated ability to own customer outcomes independently, make strategic decisions under ambiguity, and manage escalations with executive composure. Entrepreneurial approach to process improvement, building new practices and workflows to enhance customer delivery as the organization scales.
