About the Role
As a Custodial Services Specialist at Tallahassee State College, you will play a hands-on part in maintaining the everyday appearance and hygiene of our facilities. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for a dependable individual who takes pride in detailed work and contributes to an environment where the campus community can learn and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, corridors, and shared spaces throughout the college.
- Sanitize surfaces and high-touch areas to support a healthy campus environment.
- Empty waste receptacles, replenish supplies, and dispose of trash and recycling appropriately.
- Operate and care for standard custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely.
- Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate staff.
- Follow established health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work consistently in a full-time, on-site capacity.
- Capable of physical tasks such as standing, lifting, bending, and moving equipment for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a genuine commitment to cleanliness and order.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative custodial team.
- Willingness to learn and adhere to proper cleaning methods and safety standards.
