We are seeking a compassionate Child Therapist to provide therapeutic support to children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will be experienced in using age-appropriate therapeutic techniques to help young clients process trauma, improve coping skills, and support their mental and emotional growth.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) in Virginia.
- Specialized training or certification in child/adolescent therapy (e.g., play therapy, CBT, trauma-focused therapy) is preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working with children and families in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with children of varying ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, and developmental stages.
