Join Our Team as a Conveyancing Assistant!

Support our conveyancers in managing end-to-end property transactions – from preparing contracts to handling PEXA settlements. If you’re organised, detail-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, we want to hear from you!

• Assist conveyancers with end-to-end conveyancing processes, including preparation of contracts, transfer documents, and settlement statements.
• Manage and process transactions using PEXA (Property Exchange Australia), including lodgements, settlements, and workspace management.
• Conduct property searches, title checks, and prepare relevant documentation.
• Liaise with clients, banks, real estate agents, solicitors, and government authorities to ensure smooth progression of files.
• Monitor critical dates and deadlines to keep matters on track.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and file notes in line with compliance requirements.
• Provide general administrative support, including preparing correspondence and filing documents.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ experience working in Victorian conveyancing
• Certificate IV in Conveyancing, Legal Studies, or equivalent (desirable but not essential).

Competencies:

• Previous experience working in a conveyancing or legal office environment.
• Demonstrated PEXA experience in handling settlements and lodgements.
• Strong understanding of conveyancing processes, legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first approach.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software.
