HealthCare Access Maryland
HealthCare Access Maryland is seeking compassionate, community-focused Consumer Assistance Workers to connect Maryland residents with the health coverage and resources they need. This full-time, in-person role in Baltimore, Baltimore County puts you on the front lines of expanding access to care across the region.
About the Role
As a Consumer Assistance Worker with HealthCare Access Maryland, you will guide individuals and families through enrollment, eligibility, and the resources available to them, while leading outreach and education efforts in the communities you serve. HealthCare Access Maryland is filling positions in both the Capital South Region (Prince George's County) and the Central Region, which spans Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, and Howard County. Candidates selected for Central Region roles must be available to deliver assistance face-to-face and carry out outreach and education activities throughout the Central Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, in-person assistance to consumers seeking health coverage and related services.
- Conduct community outreach and education across the assigned region.
- Help residents understand their options and navigate enrollment and eligibility processes.
- Travel throughout the Central Region (or Capital South Region) to meet consumers where they are.
Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to provide in-person support and travel throughout the assigned region.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working directly with diverse community members.
- A commitment to outreach, education, and helping consumers access health resources.
- Comfort working in a community-facing, full-time capacity.
