About the Role

As Construction Risk Manager at Ascent Developer Solutions, you will help protect the integrity of construction and renovation lending across our portfolio. Working from our Encino office, you will assess exposure, monitor project progress, and ensure that the developments we finance stay on a sound and responsible footing.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate construction and renovation projects to identify, measure, and document potential risks throughout the lending lifecycle.
• Review project budgets, draw requests, and progress reports to confirm that funds are deployed appropriately.
• Collaborate with developers, lending teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues before they escalate.
• Develop and refine risk frameworks, controls, and reporting that support sound underwriting decisions.
• Track market and project conditions to keep leadership informed of emerging exposures.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction risk management, real estate development, or related private lending functions.
• Strong understanding of residential construction, renovation processes, and project finance.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret budgets, schedules, and progress documentation.
• Clear communication skills for working across developers and internal teams.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Encino, Los Angeles County.
