Construction Project Manager (Full Time, Days)

Nicklaus Children's Hospital seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our facilities team in Miami, Miami-Dade County. This full-time, day-shift position oversees complex capital projects that enhance patient care and operational capacity across our pediatric healthcare campus.

About the Role

As our Construction Project Manager, you'll take ownership of healthcare infrastructure initiatives from conception through delivery. Your work directly impacts how we serve children and families in our community, overseeing projects that range from modernizing clinical spaces to building new treatment centers and reconfiguring departments to meet evolving clinical needs.

What You'll Do

• Direct all project phases—from initial strategy and architectural design through vendor selection, active construction, and final handoff
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-schedule, on-budget delivery
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, hospital leadership, and clinical staff to align projects with patient safety and operational requirements
• Identify and mitigate project risks before they impact scope, schedule, or cost
• Maintain strict compliance with healthcare regulations, building codes, safety standards, and hospital policies throughout all phases
• Manage vendor relationships, quality assurance, and contractor performance
• Document project closure, lessons learned, and handoff procedures for seamless operational transition

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing complex construction or capital projects, ideally in a healthcare or hospital environment
• Strong command of project management methodologies, budgeting tools, and scheduling software
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance, building codes, and facility standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination across technical and clinical teams
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Professional certifications such as PMP or DBIA are valued
