Shoals MPE is hiring a full-time Commercial Mechanical Installation Tech to join its construction crew in North Florence, Lauderdale County — bringing hands-on HVAC expertise to a company that's actively expanding its commercial project portfolio.

About the Role

As a Commercial Mechanical Installation Tech at Shoals MPE Construction, you'll be a core contributor on commercial job sites, responsible for the ground-up installation of HVAC systems and their supporting components. This is a field-based, full-time position suited to a technician who takes pride in precise, code-compliant mechanical work on larger-scale builds.

What You'll Do

• Install commercial HVAC systems and associated mechanical components from rough-in through completion
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications to guide installation work
• Fabricate and install ductwork, fittings, and related sheet metal components per project plans
• Coordinate installation sequences with other trades and the general contractor on active construction sites
• Verify that all installed systems meet applicable mechanical codes, safety standards, and project specifications
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area throughout each project phase

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical system installation — residential-only backgrounds will not meet the requirements of this role
• Proven ability to read and work from construction blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Hands-on proficiency with ductwork installation and related mechanical components
• Solid understanding of commercial construction site workflows and multi-trade coordination
• Working knowledge of relevant mechanical and safety codes
• Physical capability to meet the demands of active construction environments, including lifting, climbing, and working at height
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality craftsmanship on every project
