Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer with 3 or more years of practice, including substantial experience advising on commercial transactions, contracts, and compliance matters within the Australian legal framework. Candidates must demonstrate strong capabilities in reviewing and drafting commercial agreements and navigating corporate legal matters. Prior experience working in an outsourced or remote legal support setting with Australian clients will be a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:

Provide practical and strategic legal advice on a wide range of commercial and corporate legal matters, including contract law, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance.

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements.

Support clients through business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructures.

Ensure clients remain compliant with Australian corporate law and relevant regulatory requirements.

Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in Australian commercial legislation.

Liaise directly with clients, providing timely and clear legal guidance suited to their business goals.

Collaborate with internal and client-side stakeholders in delivering high-quality legal services.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree in Law and qualified legal practitioner status is mandatory; a degree from an Australian institution or Australian accreditation is highly desirable.

A minimum of 3years of legal experience in commercial or corporate law, with a focus on the Australian jurisdiction.

Strong knowledge of Australian contract and corporate law, including relevant statutes, common law, and regulatory bodies.

Exceptional legal drafting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client matters independently.

Proficiency in legal research tools and modern legal practice management platforms.
