About the Role
As a Collision Estimator at Toyota West Mobile, you will evaluate vehicles that have sustained collision damage and determine what it will take to restore them safely and properly. Working on-site in Semmes, you'll calculate the parts, labor, and materials needed for each repair while serving as a key point of contact for customers and insurance representatives throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and document the full scope of repairs required.
- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates covering parts, labor hours, and materials.
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters to review claims and secure approvals.
- Explain repair plans and timelines clearly to customers, keeping them informed.
- Partner with body shop technicians to confirm estimates align with the actual work performed.
- Maintain organized records of assessments, supplements, and authorizations.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of automotive collision repair and the components involved.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers and estimating tools.
- Clear communication skills for working with customers, insurers, and shop staff.
- A professional, customer-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple repairs at once.
- Prior experience as a collision estimator or in a related automotive role is a plus.
