Steel Dynamics, Inc. is hiring a full-time CNC Lathe Operator (Roll Turner) in Beverly Hills, Cabell County, to join one of America's most respected steelmaking teams. This is a hands-on, skilled-trade opportunity to shape precision rolls at a Fortune 500 industry leader.
About the Role
As a CNC Lathe Operator (Roll Turner) at the Steel of West Virginia division of Steel Dynamics, Inc., you will operate computer-controlled lathe equipment to machine, turn, and finish steel rolls to exacting specifications. Based on-site in Beverly Hills, Cabell County, this position is central to keeping our rolling operations running with the accuracy and reliability our customers depend on. This is a full-time, on-location role; remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and run CNC lathe machinery to turn and machine steel rolls to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments to confirm quality and specification compliance.
- Monitor equipment performance, make adjustments, and complete routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Follow all plant safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC lathes or related machining equipment, ideally as a roll turner or in a steel/metalworking setting.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Beverly Hills, Cabell County.
