About the Role As a Cloud Security Engineer V at Hanger, Inc., you will operate at the meeting point of software engineering and cloud security, partnering with Architecture, Software Development, Cloud Infrastructure, and Operations teams to design, build, and support a resilient cloud environment. This senior role is central to Hanger's cloud migration strategy, and the right person blends hands-on development talent with mature security judgment while clearly communicating complex requirements and shaping technical decisions company-wide. Key Responsibilities Architect and deliver Azure security solutions aligned to business goals and frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS Benchmarks. Automate consistent, auditable deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Implement cloud-native controls including network and micro-segmentation, encryption in transit and at rest, and secrets management. Guide the secure, compliant migration of on-premise data centers to Azure, remediating risks across hybrid environments. Deploy CSPM and CNAPP tooling for continuous visibility and compliance. Embed security into CI/CD pipelines through SAST/DAST, container and dependency scanning, and policy-as-code enforcement. Write production-grade automation in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go to build tooling and remediation workflows. Lead cloud IAM strategy grounded in Zero Trust, least privilege, conditional access, RBAC, PAM, and protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OIDC. Tune monitoring and alerting with Microsoft Sentinel or comparable SIEM/SOAR platforms, and mentor fellow engineers. Qualifications 8–10+ years across IT, cybersecurity, or cloud engineering, including extensive Azure security architecture and operations experience. Software development or platform engineering background with working skill in at least two of Python, PowerShell, Go, Bash, or TypeScript. Demonstrated success building IaC-driven environments and integrating security into pipelines like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI. Proven contribution to data center-to-cloud migrations; experience securing AI/ML or generative AI workloads is valued. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
