About the Role
This is a full-time, 1099 independent contractor position running solo over-the-road (OTR) in dry van equipment. As a Class A Contract Driver with MID LOGISTICS INC, you will haul freight on long-haul lanes while operating as an independent business partner rather than a company employee. Average weekly gross pay is approximately $1,750, with compensation in the range of $0.50–$0.65 per mile. Holiday and vacation arrangements are open for discussion.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A dry van tractor-trailer safely on OTR solo routes
- Transport and deliver freight on schedule while meeting service expectations on every trip
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status and delivery timelines
- Manage your own business obligations as a 1099 independent contractor
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Experience with OTR and dry van operations preferred
- Willingness to run solo over-the-road routes for extended periods
- Clean and verifiable driving record
- Ability to work as a self-managed 1099 contract driver
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professional service
