About the Role As a remote Civil/Geotechnical Engineer I with Westinghouse Electric Company, you will partner with Civil Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver civil and geotechnical engineering reviews and best-practice guidance on projects company-wide. The position is based out of Juno Beach, FL, and may be performed remotely. It is an 11-month W-2 contract assignment, with anticipated travel across North America of up to 30%. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering support to the Civil SME team throughout every phase of a project's lifecycle. Respond to engineering needs for wind, solar, energy storage, clean fuels, substation, and transmission initiatives within the Engineering & Construction Department. Champion, uphold, and apply civil and geotechnical engineering best practices. Contribute timely, precise feedback during design and constructability reviews to protect project schedules. Help resolve execution-phase challenges that could threaten budget or timeline if left unaddressed. Shape project requirements and scope, evaluate execution risks, and craft mitigation strategies.
