Civil Engineering Project Manager

S&ME, Inc. is hiring a full-time Civil Engineering Project Manager in Wake Crossroads, Wake County, North Carolina, to help lead design and permitting efforts across the Carolinas. About the Role

As a Civil Engineering Project Manager with S&ME, Inc., you will join our Civil Services team supporting the Energy Market Sector. Based in Wake Crossroads, Wake County, you will manage civil projects from concept through permitting and delivery, partnering with clients on initiatives located throughout North and South Carolina. This is an on-site position (Requisition Number 2025-1350-21).

Key Responsibilities

• Direct civil engineering projects in the energy sector, keeping scope, schedule, and budget on track.
• Lead site design and guide projects through local, state, and regulatory permitting processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to produce accurate, code-compliant deliverables.
• Apply experience from the Oil and Gas industry to inform planning and risk management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally within the energy or Oil and Gas industry.
• Hands-on background in civil site design and the permitting lifecycle.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-relationship skills.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate across project teams serving North and South Carolina.
