About the Role
As a CDL A Truck Driver based out of the Chicago, Cook County area, you will operate regional routes hauling specialty products for KAG. This position is open to both company drivers and owner operators, giving experienced drivers the flexibility to choose the path that fits their goals while enjoying dependable freight and supportive local leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor-trailer on assigned regional routes throughout the Chicago region and surrounding areas.
- Transport specialty products on time while following all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any equipment or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and electronic records.
- Communicate proactively with terminal managers and dispatch to keep deliveries running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience and a clean, safety-focused driving record.
- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and on-time service.
- Ability to meet DOT physical and regulatory requirements.
- Open to qualified company drivers as well as owner operators.
