About the Role
As a CDL A NC driver based in Asheville, Buncombe County, you will operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver cargo reliably for EMPIRE NATIONAL INC. This is a full-time, on-site driving position ideal for a professional who values quality, balance, and a supportive workplace culture. You will be the face of the company on every haul, representing our commitment to fast, trustworthy transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle to transport freight to and from designated destinations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes while meeting pickup and delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep equipment road-ready and compliant.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in line with DOT and federal regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and uphold safe driving standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Ability to work full-time from the Asheville, Buncombe County area.
- Clean and verifiable driving record.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct.
- Capacity to perform the physical demands of loading, securing, and unloading freight.
