About the Role
As a CDL-A driver with Schneider in Muscatine County, you'll be an essential part of a national freight network that keeps supply chains moving. This is a full-time, on-the-road position serving customers across the country — not a remote or hybrid role.
What You'll Do
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport freight safely and on schedule across regional and national routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Accurately complete logs, delivery documentation, and Hours of Service records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding load status and any delays
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and roadworthiness of your assigned vehicle
- Follow all Schneider safety protocols and Department of Transportation guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean driving record and commitment to safe, professional operation
- Ability to meet FMCSA medical certification requirements
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Reliability, accountability, and a safety-first mindset
- Experience operating tractor-trailers is a plus, though Schneider also supports qualified candidates building their career
