The position runs on a day shift schedule with a 5-days-on, 2-days-off rotation, so you stay close to home and return every weekend. Weekly mileage typically ranges from 100 to 1,000 miles, and average total weekly pay falls between $1,000 and $1,300.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed trailer on local routes throughout the Garfield and Bergen County area
• Handle loading and unloading of freight, which accounts for roughly half of the work
• Tarp and secure loads properly, making up about a quarter of daily duties
• Complete day shift runs while maintaining compliance with all safety and DOT standards
• Keep equipment well-maintained and report any issues promptly

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL A)
• No license restrictions such as (G) Night Driving or (K) Intrastate-only
• Comfort with physical tasks including driver load/unload and tarping flatbed freight
