About the Role
As a Bus Driver with the YMCA of Upper Palmetto, you will operate a YMCA vehicle in line with established transportation and safety standards. Reporting to the Childcare Director, Branch Director, or COO, you will carry out your duties in a manner consistent with the Christian mission and values of the YMCA, ensuring every trip is handled responsibly and with care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a YMCA bus in accordance with all transportation and vehicle policies and guidelines.
- Transport children and program participants to and from designated locations.
- Follow established safety procedures to protect passengers on every route.
- Assist with special events and other YMCA activities as needed.
- Support a positive, welcoming environment that reflects the YMCA's mission and values.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license with the appropriate classification required to operate a bus.
- A strong commitment to passenger safety and adherence to vehicle guidelines.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a responsible approach to operating YMCA vehicles.
- Willingness to support the Christian mission and values of the YMCA.
- Ability to work cooperatively under the direction of program leadership.
