Building Technician II

COPT Defense Properties is seeking a hands-on Building Technician II to keep our Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County properties running safely, efficiently, and comfortably for every tenant. About the Role

As a Building Technician II with COPT Defense Properties, you will own the daily operation and upkeep of building systems at our Linthicum Heights location. The position centers on rapid, professional responses to tenant service requests while carrying out the repairs and preventative maintenance that keep mechanical and structural systems performing at their best.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day building operations and respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and maintain core building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and interior finishes.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete corrective repairs to restore full functionality.
• Support overall facility readiness, cleanliness, and safe operating conditions.

Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on experience servicing commercial building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform adjustments, repairs, and preventative maintenance independently.
• Strong commitment to tenant service and responsiveness.
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County (this is not a remote position).
