Job Title: Branch Manager (Material Handling Equipment)
Location: Stade, Germany
Team Size: ~15 employees
Scope: Sales, Service, and Rental Operations
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead and develop a key operational site focused on the sale, rental, and service of material handling equipment.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on commercial responsibility. You will drive business performance, ensure operational excellence, and foster a high-performing team culture while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Management & Business Performance
- Implement and execute the business strategy at branch level
- Hold full P&L responsibility for the site
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share
- Ensure adherence to company processes, standards, and policies
- Represent the branch externally in the local market
Sales & Commercial Development
- Actively engage in day-to-day business, including key account acquisition
- Lead and develop sales activities within the assigned territory
- Strategically manage the aftermarket and rental business
- Identify growth opportunities and implement targeted actions
Customer Experience & Operational Excellence
- Ensure a strong customer-centric approach across all functions
- Drive customer satisfaction and service quality standards
- Increase productivity through continuous improvement and best practices
- Maintain high operational efficiency across the branch
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team
- Foster a positive work environment and strong team spirit
- Support employee development and career progression
- Ensure efficient workflows and high performance standards
- Guarantee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Business Administration, Commercial Training with further specialization, or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Several years of experience as a Branch Manager, Sales Manager, or in a comparable leadership role
- Mandatory experience in material handling equipment or a related industry
Skills
- Strong change management and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills
- High level of quality and customer orientation
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
