We're seeking a compassionate, bilingual professional to support children with autism through relationship-based, play-centered intervention using the DIR/Floortime approach. About the Role As a DIR Floortime Player, you'll use the Developmental, Individual-Differences, Relationship-based (DIR) model to create meaningful connections with children and help unlock their potential for learning, engagement, and joy. You'll work in a collaborative, supportive environment where every team member is invested in our mission. What You'll Do Conduct floor-based, child-led play sessions using DIR/Floortime principles to build social-emotional skills and strengthen relationships Follow each child's developmental pace and individual differences, meeting them where they are and gently expanding their interactions Communicate fluently in Spanish with bilingual clients and families, supporting language exposure and family partnership Observe and document progress, adjusting strategies to support individual growth Collaborate with clinical supervisors, therapists, and family members to ensure coordinated, effective support Create emotionally safe, engaging interactions that foster connection and trust Implement DIR/Floortime best practices to support children's engagement, communication, and relational development What We're Looking For Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and preferred: written) Knowledge of DIR/Floortime methodology or demonstrated willingness to receive training Experience working with children with autism or developmental differences Strong observational and listening skills to follow the child's lead Patience, warmth, and genuine enjoyment of play-based interaction Ability to work as part of a collaborative team High school diploma or equivalent; related certification or coursework preferred About Kinder Growth Therapy Kinder Growth Therapy is dedicated to helping children with autism build meaningful, strong, and joyful relationships.
