Anduril Industries is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Engineer to join our Phoenix, Arizona office and support the development and testing of cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems. This full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining aircraft airworthiness and mission readiness while working alongside engineers, test pilots, and specialists in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Position Summary As an Aviation Maintenance Engineer at Anduril, you will be responsible for ensuring developmental UAS platforms remain airworthy and operationally ready throughout assembly, maintenance, and flight test phases. Your technical expertise and hands-on mechanical skills will directly contribute to the success of ground-breaking autonomous systems. You'll work across civil and military certification frameworks, coordinating maintenance activities and providing critical assessments that enable safe, efficient testing operations. What You'll Do Participate in aircraft assembly, scheduled maintenance, and preventative maintenance operations including mechanical integration of flight control surfaces and propulsion systems Perform composite fabrication and avionics build, integration, and testing Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair aircraft systems including landing gear, fuel systems, flight control mechanisms, and engines Execute standard airframe construction and modification techniques Maintain complete and accurate aircraft and equipment documentation Service and troubleshoot support equipment used in flight test operations Conduct validation testing of electronic components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other diagnostic tools Implement rigorous foreign object damage (FOD) and tool control procedures Communicate mechanical findings and aircraft condition assessments to engineering and production teams What You Bring Minimum 8 years of hands-on rotorcraft maintenance experience Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification Strong communication and collaborative teamwork skills Proficiency with computers, standard software applications, and digital documentation tools Willingness to develop multi-disciplinary capabilities, including electronics troubleshooting and repair Demonstrated problem-solving ability and meticulous attention to detail Adaptability and composure in dynamic, high-paced work environments with shifting priorities Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required Preferred: US security clearance eligibility and experience with both electric and turbine propulsion systems More About Anduril Industries Anduril Industries advances U.S. and allied military capabilities through next-generation defense technology.
