About the Role
As an Audio Editor – AI Trainer at Handshake, you'll step away from the conventional 9-to-5 and instead lend your real-world audio skills to a different kind of mission: teaching AI how to understand sound, recording, and post-production. This US-based contract opportunity rewards practical, hands-on craft over rigid corporate structure. If you live and breathe Audacity and know your way around a waveform, your insight will directly shape how AI systems interpret audio tasks and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess AI-generated audio output and judge its accuracy, quality, and realism.
- Deliver clear, detailed feedback that helps AI models grasp editing and post-production workflows.
- Apply your knowledge of podcast production, voice-over recording, and general audio editing to real evaluation scenarios.
- Use Audacity and similar tools to inform your assessments of sound and recording tasks.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with audio editing, podcast production, or voice-over recording.
- Confident, practical command of Audacity.
- A sharp ear for audio quality and a careful eye for post-production detail.
- Ability to communicate feedback clearly and work independently on a flexible, self-directed schedule.
