Associate Principal Red Team Consultant

Ultra Violet Cyber · United States

How to use this kit

Ground every answer in facts on this page and the original listing. We never invent Glassdoor-style reviews or salaries that are not in our data.

Interview prep

Be ready to walk through red-team engagement lifecycles, scoping and rules of engagement, a past attack chain (recon → access → persistence → objectives), how you deconflict with blue teams, and how you write findings executives can act on. Expect scenario questions on prioritization when time and scope are tight, and questions on mentoring or quality review at associate-principal level.

Fit summary

Strong fit if you already operate as a senior offensive consultant, can lead engagements end-to-end for UltraViolet Cyber clients in the U.S., and are comfortable balancing hands-on tradecraft with principal-style ownership of quality and stakeholder communication. Thin public company detail means culture and stack fit should be validated in interviews.

Day in the role

As an Associate Principal Red Team Consultant at UltraViolet Cyber, a typical day centers on planning and leading adversary-emulation work: scoping objectives with stakeholders, coordinating recon and attack-path analysis, running controlled exploitation and lateral-movement exercises, documenting findings with clear business impact, and briefing blue teams and leadership on remediation priorities. Principal-level scope usually includes mentoring junior operators, tightening engagement quality, and aligning red-team activity with client risk goals.

Skills to emphasize

Prioritize offensive security depth: adversary emulation, network and identity attack paths, cloud and application tradecraft, clear written reporting, and client communication. No cert family or costed resources were supplied for this listing; treat any certifications as optional proof points only after confirming current vendor pricing yourself.
