This position gives you real responsibility for project schedules, resource allocation, and deliverable quality while mentoring junior professionals and collaborating across disciplines to bring complex site development projects to completion. Your Responsibilities Lead and guide a production team through all phases of civil engineering projects, addressing technical challenges and ensuring design quality meets standards Oversee the creation of comprehensive construction documents including site plans, utility profiles, stormwater management systems, grading plans, sediment and erosion control measures, and technical specifications Coach design and CAD professionals, promoting continuous improvement, best practices, and collaborative problem-solving Manage water supply, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, fire flow designs, and hydraulic modeling to meet regulatory and client requirements Coordinate with subconsultants—geotechnical engineers, architects, environmental specialists—ensuring seamless project integration Facilitate permitting and agency coordination, addressing feedback and maintaining project timelines Schedule projects strategically, balancing permitting timelines, resource availability, and client delivery expectations Build professional relationships with clients and industry partners to support business development and repeat work Who We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil site design or closely related work Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing PE certification; EI certification required Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD; strong command of site design, utility layouts, and stormwater management principles Proven ability to manage multiple projects, resources, and competing priorities simultaneously Strong communication, mentoring, and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to build client relationships More About…
