Assistant Project Manager

The High Companies is hiring a full-time Assistant Project Manager to join High Construction in Fertility, Lancaster County, supporting the teams that turn complex commercial builds into finished, award-winning work across eastern Pennsylvania.

About the Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work alongside senior project leadership to keep commercial construction projects moving on schedule, on budget, and to the high standards High Construction is known for. This on-site position in Fertility, Lancaster County, is ideal for someone building a career in commercial preconstruction, design-build, construction management, and general contracting who thrives on coordination, problem-solving, and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and tracking commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Help coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews to keep work aligned and on pace.
• Assist with budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and project documentation.
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals, and help maintain accurate project records.
• Communicate progress, risks, and updates to clients and internal teams with transparency and precision.
• Contribute to safety, quality, and on-time delivery on every assignment.

Qualifications

• Interest or background in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail across multiple moving parts.
• Clear written and verbal communication for working with clients, trades, and colleagues.
• Comfort reading construction documents and using project management or scheduling tools.
• A collaborative, dependable approach and a willingness to learn from experienced project leaders.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site role in Fertility, Lancaster County (this position is not remote).
