Assistant Manager

BigFoot Java is hiring a full-time Assistant Manager at our Auburn, King County location — a hands-on leadership role for an experienced barista ready to take the next step in their coffee career.

About the Role

As an Assistant Barista Manager at BigFoot Java in Auburn, you'll split your time between delivering exceptional drinks and service as a working barista and keeping our drive-thru location running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who loves the craft of coffee and is ready to take ownership of daily operations alongside the store manager.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve BigFoot Java's full menu of espresso drinks, blended beverages, and specialty coffees to brand standards
• Carry out all barista duties during assigned shifts, including customer service, order accuracy, and speed of service
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly equipment maintenance tasks to keep espresso machines and related hardware in peak condition
• Support location upkeep and routine maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Help the store manager ensure BigFoot Java operational standards are consistently met
• Step into a leadership capacity when the store manager is unavailable

What We're Looking For

• Prior barista experience, ideally in a drive-thru or high-volume coffee setting
• Familiarity with espresso equipment operation and basic maintenance
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule including early mornings and weekends
• Strong customer service instincts and a positive, team-first attitude
• Ability to take direction and initiative in equal measure
• Interest in growing into a management role within the coffee industry
