About the Role

As an Assistant Maintenance Mechanic Transfer Stations, you will support WM's plant maintenance team under direct supervision, taking on scheduled preventive maintenance tasks while building the experience needed to handle more advanced repairs. This is an on-site, full-time position based in North Elizabeth, Union County.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned preventive maintenance routines on plant and transfer station equipment under the guidance of senior mechanics.
• Complete minor repairs independently and lend a hand on larger, more complex repair jobs.
• Perform all work in line with WM's Safety and Life Critical Rules as well as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards.
• Help keep facility machinery running reliably to minimize downtime at the transfer station.
