About the Role The Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology at Indiana University's School of Medicine is recruiting two tenure-track faculty members to strengthen our addiction research initiatives. This position offers the autonomy to develop and direct your own research program while contributing to a collaborative, discovery-focused environment dedicated to understanding the cellular and physiological mechanisms underlying addiction. What You'll Do Conduct independent, innovative research in addiction biology and related areas of anatomy, cell biology, or physiology Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present research at national and international conferences Teach and mentor graduate students, medical students, and postdoctoral researchers Participate in departmental committees and contribute to the academic mission of Indiana University School of Medicine Collaborate with colleagues across departments to advance addiction research and clinical applications Seek extramural funding through grants from federal agencies, foundations, and industry partners What We're Looking For PhD and/or MD degree Research experience and demonstrated productivity in addiction research or closely related fields Strong commitment to scholarly teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate, graduate, and/or medical school level Ability to secure extramural research funding Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to engage in departmental and institutional service About Indiana University Academic Positions Indiana University School of Medicine is one of the nation's premier medical research and education institutions.
