Boostdraft
Who we are:
BoostDraft is reinventing legal drafting with a local Microsoft Word add-in that automates tedious formatting and elevates the daily work of legal professionals. Founded by MIT and Stanford alumni, we have grown to over 10,000 paying users and earned adoption at 17 of Japan’s top 20 law firms, mostly through organic word of mouth and product excellence, achieving profitability without external funding until December 2024.
About the role:
We are looking for your legal expertise. If you have ever worked in a law firm and understand the excruciating pain of manual document formatting, cross-referencing, and correcting inconsistencies late at night, you are exactly who we are looking for.
At BoostDraft, we are revolutionizing how legal professionals work. We are seeking a Legal Tech Consultant to help us expand our presence in the APAC market. You do not need any prior business-to-business sales experience. What we need is your deep empathy for legal professionals and your firsthand knowledge of legal workflows to act as a bridge between our product and legal professionals.
Reporting Line:
Korea Country Manager
Targeted Prospects:
Top-tier and mid-sized law firms (global and local), in-house legal teams at large enterprises, and government/legal institutions across key APAC markets (e.g., Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia).
What You Will Do:
Your primary goal is to initiate meaningful conversations with legal professionals and guide them toward exploring BoostDraft. Your core workflow will include:
- Market Mapping & Prospecting:
- Research law firms and corporate legal departments across APAC to identify key decision-makers and potential users.
- Strategic Outreach:
- Craft tailored, professional messages. Use your legal background to speak their language and highlight how we solve their specific workflow pains.
- Needs Discovery:
- Lead introductory calls with legal professionals. Uncover their operational challenges and introduce BoostDraft as a solution.
- Opportunity Handoff:
- Seamlessly transition the relationship to our senior business team for an in-depth product demonstration.
Why Join Us:
- Career Pivot: Successfully transition from traditional legal practice into the fast-growing global B2B SaaS industry.
- Real Impact: Save your peers in the legal industry from countless hours of burnout-inducing administrative work.
- Global Environment: Join a highly diverse, international team where half of our members are based outside of Japan.
- Autonomy: Enjoy a fully remote setup that provides the freedom to manage your operations and work life balance effectively.
Requirements
- Legal Background:
- Practical experience in a legal environment (e.g., Paralegal, Legal Secretary, Legal Ops, Associate, or In-house). You know how legal teams operate.
- Languages:
- Native-level Korean and Business-level English.
- Communication Skills:
- You are a great listener. You are comfortable reaching out to new people and explaining concepts clearly.
