What This Role Involves This apprenticeship offers comprehensive, hands-on experience in procurement operations within a global automotive supplier. You will work alongside experienced purchasing professionals to develop practical skills in supplier management, order processing, and cost optimisation. The role spans the full spectrum of non-production purchasing—from materials and services to operational supplies—giving you exposure to real commercial decision-making across Continental's operations in the Hauts-de-France region. Responsibilities Support the procurement of non-production goods, services, and supplies required for manufacturing operations Assist in supplier evaluation, qualification, and ongoing performance management Process purchase requisitions and manage order documentation through to delivery Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and supply chain efficiency improvements Maintain accurate records and reports on purchasing activity and supplier metrics Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfilment Support contract administration and vendor negotiations under supervision Skills & Qualifications Current or recent completion of upper secondary education (Bac or equivalent qualification) Strong numeracy and attention to detail in processing orders and data entry Fluent in French; English language skills are advantageous Reliability and commitment to a structured two-year learning programme Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced commercial environment Organisational skills and willingness to learn purchasing systems and procedures About Continental Continental is a leading technology company supplying intelligent solutions for vehicles, mobility, and industrial applications.
