Mercor is seeking an Agricultural Sciences PhD expert to work part-time, up to 20 hours a week, as a contractor. The role involves authoring and reviewing technical tasks, producing problem sets, and collaborating with AI research teams. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Agricultural Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience, and strong technical writing skills.
Requirements
- PhD in Agricultural Sciences or related field, or MS with 3+ years applied research, extension, or industry experience, or BS with 5+ years applied farming, extension, or agribusiness experience
- Working fluency in at least two of: agronomy, soil science, animal science, agricultural economics, plant pathology
- Comfortable reading and interpreting crop figures, soil profiles, yield charts, and field imagery
- Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form
