N26 is hiring an AFC Associate – SAR Delegate (CDD / Fixed-term contract) to strengthen our French MLRO function in Paris, working on a six-month fixed-term basis at the heart of our anti-financial crime efforts. About the Role As an AFC Associate – SAR Delegate at N26 in Paris, you will take ownership of critical Anti-Financial Crime operations, acting as the trusted point of reference for our AFC and KYC Operations teams. Serving as Déclarant Tracfin, you will steer investigations, validate decisions, and help elevate the capabilities of the analysts you support across the French market. Key Responsibilities Examine and assist with investigations carried out by the AFC Operations department. Lead intricate case investigations, sanctions reviews, and related AFC processes. Assess and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the quality standards expected by Tracfin and the ACPR. Fulfil the role of Déclarant Tracfin and handle complex Authority Requests. Support ongoing due diligence and EDD work, including decisions on information requests to customers. Offer individual and team-wide guidance to AFC operations analysts and prepare templates for customer communication. Build, refine, and localise procedures that balance French regulatory demands with group standards, coordinating with other operational functions. Qualifications A law degree (Master II / École de droit), a Grande École qualification, or equivalent background. At least three years of anti-financial crime experience, ideally within a bank and an international environment. Strong investigative track record covering SAR drafting, transaction monitoring, sanctions, and adverse media screening; prior Déclarant Tracfin experience is a plus. Thorough command of European and French financial crime regulation (KYC, AML, terrorism financing, fraud, tax evasion, sanctions). Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken. Sharp analytical and advisory skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the composure to perform under pressure.
