Upper Valley Career Center, part of the Dayton Area School Consortium, is hiring a full-time AE HVAC/R Instructor to lead hands-on adult technical training at its Adult Technology Center in the United States. About the Role
As the AE HVAC/R Instructor, you will deliver adult education in the trade and industry field, guiding learners through both classroom theory and practical, lab-based instruction. This is a full-time, in-person position based at the Upper Valley Career Center Adult Technology Center, where you will prepare students for careers in the HVAC and refrigeration industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach HVAC/R principles, equipment operation, and service techniques to adult learners.
- Develop and deliver curriculum that balances technical knowledge with hands-on skill building.
- Supervise students in lab and shop environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Evaluate learner progress and support students as they work toward industry readiness.
- Maintain instructional equipment, tools, and a productive learning space.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in HVAC/R systems, installation, and repair.
- Background suited to adult education in a trade and industry setting.
- Ability to instruct, mentor, and assess adult learners effectively.
- Commitment to working on-site at the Adult Technology Center.
