Rush University Medical Center is seeking dedicated Adjunct Faculty in Communication Disorders for a part-time, on-site role in Chicago, Cook County, contributing to the Department of Communication Disorders within the College of Health Sciences (CHS).
About the Role
This Adjunct Faculty CHS NL position supports teaching and academic instruction in Communication Disorders at Rush University Medical Center. It is structured as a restricted part-time appointment (total FTE less than 0.5), with a focused four-hour daytime schedule that fits well alongside clinical or professional commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction and academic support within the Communication Disorders program in the College of Health Sciences.
- Contribute subject-matter expertise to coursework and learning experiences for students.
- Engage with faculty colleagues to uphold the academic standards of the department.
- Maintain a consistent first-shift schedule of approximately four hours (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM).
Qualifications
- Background and expertise in Communication Disorders, speech-language pathology, or a closely related discipline.
- Suitable academic and/or clinical credentials to support adjunct teaching at the university level.
- Availability for a restricted part-time commitment based on campus in Chicago, Illinois.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to student learning and success.
