About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will become part of an established accounting team and take ownership of a high-volume AP workflow. This is a fully onsite position based in Turnpike, Tolland County, requiring an in-office presence five days each week. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process a high volume of accounts payable transactions accurately and on schedule.
• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
• Support the accounting department with day-to-day AP operations and month-end activities.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready records for invoices, payments, and approvals.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams to keep payments moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience in an accounts payable or related accounting function.
• Comfort handling high transaction volume with strong accuracy and follow-through.
• Solid attention to detail and well-organized record-keeping habits.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Turnpike, Tolland County, five days per week.
• Effective communication skills for working across vendors and internal departments.
