An accounting firm based in London, UK, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team remotely from South Africa, supporting the VAT team and ensuring financial integrity beyond basic data entry.
Requirements
- Apply professional insight to accurately classify income and expenses
- Assist with VAT and Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements
- Determine and apply the correct VAT treatment for various expense types
- Execute seamless CSV imports and daily financial workflows
- Perform high-level bank and account reconciliations
- Utilise Excel to manipulate data and provide necessary information to the MTD Manager for reporting
- Effectively prioritise and manage increased workloads during critical quarterly VAT periods and monthly deadlines
