About the Role

As the Accident Prevention Planning & Execution Lead, you will own the program's Accident Prevention Plan (APP) from concept through day-to-day execution, treating it as a core contractual deliverable rather than a checkbox exercise. Working on-site in Capitol, Richmond, you will translate U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) safety expectations into practical, enforceable protocols that protect the workforce and reduce organizational exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Author, roll out, and maintain the program's Accident Prevention Plan (APP) as a required contractual deliverable.
• Drive full alignment with USACE safety requirements, including the EM 385-1-1 manual.
• Spot potential hazards early and put preventive measures in place before incidents occur.
• Uphold and enforce established safety procedures across program activities.
• Guide and coordinate safety execution efforts to lower overall organizational risk.

Qualifications

• Hands-on familiarity with USACE safety standards and the EM 385-1-1 framework.
• Demonstrated experience designing and managing accident prevention or occupational safety programs.
• Strong skills in hazard identification, risk mitigation, and protocol enforcement.
• Ability to manage a contractual safety deliverable end to end with accountability and attention to compliance.
• Leadership presence to influence safe behavior across teams in an on-site environment.
