You will support safe navigation and liquid cargo operations while operating permanently at sea as part of the deck team on this vessel size and type. The post is shipboard only and requires readiness for extended periods away from shore. Your Responsibilities Stand navigational watches on the bridge and assist with route planning, position fixing and collision avoidance in open water and port approaches. Support chemical cargo loading, discharging, tank preparation, cleaning and ballast operations in accordance with vessel procedures and international conventions. Monitor cargo and advertising systems, record ullages, temperatures and pressures, and report any irregularities promptly. Maintain deck safety equipment, life-saving appliances and fire-fighting gear so they remain ready for immediate use. Complete voyage logs, cargo documentation and paperwork while following company SMS and flag-state requirements. Participate in drills, emergency response exercises and daily inspections that keep the vessel compliant and crew prepared. Who We're Looking For Hold a valid Deck Officer Certificate of Competency suitable for service as Third Officer on tankers of this size and trade. Possess previous sea-going experience as a junior deck officer, ideally with tanker or chemical cargo exposure. Demonstrate solid working knowledge of international maritime regulations covering navigation, cargo handling and pollution prevention for IMO III chemical tankers. Show competence in bridge resource management, GMDSS equipment use and basic cargo-system operations. Be medically fit for unrestricted shipboard duty and able to join the vessel on 30 July 2026 from the Brazil hiring office process.
