Prospect Schools is seeking a dedicated 26-27 Founding Intervention Teacher to join a brand-new school community in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. If you are passionate about closing learning gaps and helping every student succeed, this full-time, in-person founding role offers a rare chance to shape academic support from the ground up.
About the Role
As a Founding Intervention Teacher with Prospect Schools, you will play a central part in launching a new addition to our growing Brooklyn network. Working on-site in Brooklyn Heights, you will design and deliver targeted academic support that helps students who need an extra boost to reach grade-level mastery within our International Baccalaureate–inspired, college preparatory model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide focused intervention instruction in small-group and one-on-one settings to accelerate student learning.
- Use assessment data to identify skill gaps and build individualized support plans.
- Partner with classroom teachers to align interventions with core curriculum and IB-modeled standards.
- Monitor student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and communicate growth with families and colleagues.
- Contribute to the culture and academic systems of a founding school community.
Qualifications
- Commitment to serving an intentionally diverse K-12 student population.
- Experience supporting struggling learners through differentiated or intervention instruction.
- Strong collaboration skills and the flexibility to thrive in a founding, fast-growing environment.
- Appropriate teaching credentials and a belief that all students can achieve at high levels.

Prospect Schools is a high-performing, intentionally diverse K-12 college preparatory charter network educating nearly 3,000 students across seven schools in Brooklyn.
