About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Milan, Monroe County. Within AWS Infrastructure Services, you'll support the mechanical backbone of AWS global infrastructure — the cooling, power, and equipment systems that allow customers worldwide to access the cloud without interruption. As a Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, your field engineering work directly upholds the uptime and resilience that AWS data centers depend on every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, planning, delivery, and ongoing operation of mechanical systems across AWS data center facilities.
- Maintain and optimize cooling, power distribution, and related critical infrastructure equipment in the field.
- Collaborate across engineering and operations teams to ensure reliable, continuous data center performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and drive improvements that protect customer access to AWS services.
Qualifications
- A background in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems such as cooling, HVAC, or power infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on-site in Milan, Monroe County.
- A commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence in field engineering.
