Randstad Digital is hiring a full-time Data Center Site Engineer to join its onsite operations team in Piscataway, New Jersey. About the Role
As a Data Center Site Engineer, you will help run the day-to-day operations of a state-of-the-art facility that supports clients across the United States. This is a fully onsite position based in Piscataway, New Jersey — there is no remote option. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with compensation ranging from $25 to $28 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the continuous, day-to-day management and smooth operation of the data center floor
- Perform hands-on installation, monitoring, and maintenance of servers, racks, cabling, and related hardware
- Respond promptly to onsite technical issues to minimize downtime and protect uptime
- Carry out routine inspections and preventive checks across critical facility systems
- Document work accurately and collaborate with operations teams to uphold rigorous data center standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a data center technician or in a comparable hands-on infrastructure role
- Solid working knowledge of server hardware, structured cabling, and data center equipment
- Willingness and ability to work fully onsite in Piscataway, New Jersey on the Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM shift
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to follow operational procedures and work effectively within a collaborative team
