Bring your passion for paddle sports to the courts of Sussex County as a full-time Pickleball Pro with the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges in Hamburg, NJ. We're seeking an energetic instructor to inspire players of every age and skill level.

About the Role

As a Pickleball Pro based in Hamburg, Sussex County, you'll champion the YMCA's mission of building stronger communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This full-time, on-site position centers on designing and leading engaging pickleball programming that reflects both YMCA values and USA Pickleball standards. You'll help participants discover the sport, sharpen their technique, and stay active in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver high-quality pickleball lessons for individuals and groups across all ages and ability levels.
• Teach fundamentals, strategy, and advanced play in line with USA Pickleball guidelines and YMCA program standards.
• Create an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that motivates beginners and experienced players alike.
• Adapt instruction to the needs of youth, adults, and seniors participating in YMCA programs.
• Promote safety, sportsmanship, and a positive member experience on the courts.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of pickleball rules, skills, and coaching techniques.
• Experience instructing participants of varying ages and proficiency levels is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with USA Pickleball standards and a commitment to upholding them.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups.
• Enthusiasm for the YMCA's commitment to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
