Retail Store Manager

About the Role

As the Retail Store Manager for Music & Arts in Hartsville, Trousdale County, you will own the performance of your store from the ground up. This is a hands-on, full-time leadership position based in the store, not a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, opening and closing procedures, and overall location performance.
• Recruit, coach, schedule, and develop a motivated retail team.
• Drive sales goals across instruments, accessories, rentals, and lesson programs.
• Build genuine relationships with customers, students, parents, and local educators.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and visual standards to keep the store welcoming and well-stocked.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
• Monitor budgets, controls, and reporting to support healthy store results.

Qualifications

• Prior retail management or supervisory experience, ideally in a customer-focused environment.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team toward shared targets.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with sales goals, scheduling, and day-to-day operational decisions.

Compensation

This position pays between $19.00 and $21.00 per hour, based on your background and experience. The role is also eligible for the Music & Arts company bonus program, tied to overall company performance.
