The Civil/Structural Engineer 5 (Structural Design) position is responsible for performing civil structural design of Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related structures, requiring significant expertise in US nuclear concrete & steel design and experience with ANSYS.
Requirements
- Serves as subject matter expert in the civil structural design areas.
- Works on highly complex tasks in multiple and diverse areas and proposes innovative design solutions.
- Uses structural engineering tools and implements appropriate standards to design Nuclear Safety-Related and Non-Safety-Related structures.
- Interfaces with NuScale Licensing in support of domestic and international regulatory efforts.
- Provides guidance and mentoring to other staff members in support of the team’s technical activities.
- Develops and reviews requirements documents, methodology documents, design reports, and studies.
