About the Role

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team building high-quality mobile applications. This role requires strong experience in iOS development and a deep understanding of modern mobile engineering practices.

You will contribute to the development and optimisation of iOS applications, working on user-facing features, performance improvements, and scalable mobile architecture. The role requires a product mindset, with the ability to build intuitive, high-performing applications that deliver strong user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications.
  • Build scalable, performant, and user-friendly mobile features using Swift.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver impactful product features.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and improve application structure and maintainability.
  • Integrate location-based functionalities using technologies such as Core Location, MapKit, or Google Maps.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and stability concerns.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high standards of code quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and mobile engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in iOS application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining production-level mobile applications.
  • Experience working with iOS frameworks and mobile architecture patterns.
  • Experience with location-based technologies such as Core Location, MapKit, or Google Maps.
  • Experience integrating and working with APIs and mobile services.
  • Experience working in product-driven environments.
  • Strong understanding of mobile performance, usability, and scalability considerations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in high-growth or well-known UK/US scale-ups.
  • Strong product engineering mindset with a focus on user experience.
  • Experience contributing to mobile architecture decisions.
