With this role our Specialists also Instruct, liaise and monitor third parties such as debt collection agencies and Paralegals to ensure the best outcome is achieved. Whilst doing this you will Negotiate, implement and monitor feasible repayment solutions that take into account the customer’s circumstances while balancing the best interests of the business

The requirements

We look for people who are smart, humble, motivated and who are always looking to improve.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • You’ve got end-to-end knowledge of debt recovery via UK courts or insolvency procedures. One of these is a must—you’ll need to be ready to confidently assess the strategic recovery position to maintain your assigned portfolio

  • At least 2 years debt recovery experience, ideally in the commercial/business sector

  • Empathy, forbearance and professionalism

  • Strong communication skills, accuracy and confidence

  • Business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit with real enthusiasm for helping SMEs. Experience within the finance industry is advantageous.

Bonus

  • Experience managing a large portfolio of high value business cases

  • Experience with bankruptcy and high level litigation cases

Don’t take this list as prescriptive: it’s just to give you a sense of who might do well at the job. We’d still love to hear from you if you don’t hit every point on the list, or if you have other experience.

The salary

Our base salary range in Leeds is £34,000 – £41,000. Our base salary range in London is £39,000 – £46,000. We want to pay all of our employees fairly, so that’s why we regularly benchmark salaries based on market rates and to recognise your increasing value to our business.
