Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician works within assigned region to proactively monitor and improve quality. They will work collaboratively with Foremen, Technicians, and field management to conduct and document field inspections of in-progress and completed work on utility structures.
What You Will Do
Perform quality control (QC) inspections of utility structure and equipment inspections, treatment, restorations, and repairs. Document QC inspection results, non-conformances, and other quality-related issues.

The position requires excellent communication, coaching, inter-personal, and computer skills, and will require extensive overnight travel. Ability to read and follow maps, understand and follow complex procedures and specifications, and utilize field data collection devices is also required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Some college coursework or college degree preferred (associates, bachelors)
- At least three years of in-field work experience in the utility or construction industry
- Valid provincial driver’s license
- Ability to read and follow maps, understand and follow complex procedures and specifications, and utilize field data collection devices
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
